FUNKY OR NOT FUNKY? That's the Question . . .

"You can trap me, you can double me, you can foul me, but the one thing you'll never do is stop me. I will drive the lane. I am Gilbert Arenas." Agent Zero (Wizards)

In the press section, an article deals with Atlanta's possible return in postseason. Of course preseason does not mean anything, yet it is obvious that the new Hawks team is exciting. The front office just added two amazing - and potentially Rookie Of the Year - young studs to the good quartet Josh Smith, Josh Childress, Joe Johnson & Marvin Williams. Acie Law is already the team's best poing guard and big man Al Horford might soon be considered as one of the league's top center while supposedly a power forward.

Last year the athletic powerhouse J-Smooth rised to nearly stardom, and this season Marvin Gaye Williams is going to show why he was selected second in the 2005 NBA draft...
Kevin Durant
is the real thing and you can count on him to be an Hall of Famer... If Indiana hopes to be a decent playoff team, Danny Granger & Marquis Daniels must be the franchise new cornerstones... Watch out for Golden State shooting Guard Kelenna Azubuike, who dominated during preseason. Taller and a better defensive player than Monta Ellis - who should be Baron Davis 's backup according to Neslon's plans to rest his talented poing guard for the playoffs - he seems to be a serious contender for the Most Improved Player award. - The Warriors might have a marvelous help from their bench if a shining Al Harrington & Monta Ellis are in the second unit. - Azubuike can establish himself as one of the league's young stars, yet he will not be alone in the quest for the MIP trophy...
In LA, a lot is expected from raw big man Andrew Bynum, who is really willing to shut his detractors' mouth, especially his demanding teammate Kobe Bryant's...
In Memphis, Rudy Gay is so talented that he has to give a new rythm to his career, and step on Elvis' footprints by becoming a superstar swingman. His coach wants the team to play an up-tempo style, a good thing to turn Gay into "The King"...
Bobcats' Michael Jordan is not known for his patience, and he clearly sent the message to his shooter from the 70's Adam Morrison. This year he will come off the bench and will have to take over games as soon as he will touch the ball. This scoring 6th man position might be a good fit for him, and erased this image of a circus freak coming from another era. (UPDATE - Knee injury : Morrison is done for the season.)
Chicagoans have a very good team. Yes, if the plan is to have a deep playoff run, the paint has to be solid, and as much afro as Ben Wallace might be, he is in total decline. This is a golden opportunity for Tyrus Thomas & Joakim Noah to show what is inside their Sloggi. If the underwear is not empty, this Bulls team will be very dangerous and might rule over the Eastern Conference, no matter who Boston acquired this summer...
The one guy that has to reach another dimension is the mormon's disapointing shooting guard Ronnie Brewer. His shot is ugly ( Shawn Marion is a bad example kids !!) but he has all the tools to be a great SG in the league, high basket ball IQ, good passer, athletic and charism. Since Oh.my.god.thanks.NBA.for.the.dough.or.I.would.never.get.laid Jeff Hornacek retirement, the SG slot has not been great. Gordan Giricek is a decent player, but not a starter for a NBA finals contender. Sharpshooter rookie Morris Almond can be on fire Johnny Blaze style but remains an unproven rookie. So, facing a rookie and a no defense-no pass shooter, Brewer has to turn into a star after his difficult rookie year. This year he knows the jazz's offensive and defensive playbooks and he could help his team to become a champion candidate.

Winning is always good. It’s the best deodorant.” Jason Kidd (Nets)

Devin Harris
should be one of the NBA's best poing guard. He is quick, atlhetic, creative, a good passer and charismatic. Yet he seems to be unable to become a great player & justify why he is the starting PG instead of Jason Terry. What a pity that he lacks this killer instinct that is the property of great players. This year, he has to play well or he might end up in a rebuilding team throught a trade. Him + Josh Howard for Kobe Bryant...
Another athletic freak is Dorell Wright, who should be Miami's Small forward starter. If he does not become something else that what he currently is, his carreer might really be in jeopardy...

What the fuck are the Nets doing with Richard Jefferson? They should get rid of him for being jealous of Vince Carter. This Nets team survives thanks to the great plays of two not going to be younger veterans Kidd & Carter who need immediate help to reach Eastern Conference's peak. Jefferson for a good inside banger would be great, and Bostjan Nachbar is ready to be more than a bench player. If Krstic is injury free, the signing of a hard working banger and low post threat would be terrific for New Jersey's paint...
Thanks to its great offseason moves, Boston is under the spotlight right now. Yet, something dirty is happening backstage : Ray Allen is said to be fed up by Kevin Garnett's mouth and unwell mannered behaviour. Let's hope that The Truth will calm everything and help this team to fullfill its expected great destiny...
As good as he might be, Shawn Marion does not deserve to be mentionned in Unlimited NBA. What a pity that in addition to his ugly shoot he cannot understand how to have a great career and how to be remembered through history. What an ass to be willing to play for a bad NBA team lottery-bound where he could average 25 points a game instead of helping the Suns to do what Sir Charles could not : be an NBA champion. An unlikely NBA finals Bulls vs Suns would be fun to watch...
